Speaker Fees

Keynote presentations are delivered by the Executive Director of Magdalena’s Daughters and are structured to support both high-quality delivery and the sustainability of our mission-driven work. Speaker fees vary based on the scope, format, and location of the engagement.

Honoraria and speaker fees directly support the operations and programs of Magdalena’s Daughters, including prevention education, survivor support, and youth-serving initiatives. Fees also help offset preparation time, travel, and program development costs.

We strive to work collaboratively with schools, nonprofits, and public agencies and will consider sliding-scale or mission-aligned adjustments when possible.

Meet the Facilitators

All training, speaking, and educational offerings provided by Magdalena’s Daughters are delivered by experienced facilitators who bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to the work. Our facilitation model is intentionally multidisciplinary, ensuring that every session is grounded in ethical practice, trauma-informed care, and real-world insight.

Facilitators are selected based on experience, training, and alignment with our mission and values.

Lived Experience Experts

Lived experience experts are individuals with firsthand experience of trafficking or exploitation who choose to share their knowledge as part of prevention and education efforts. Their participation adds depth, authenticity, and perspective to our trainings, helping audiences understand the realities of exploitation beyond statistics.

Survivors who participate as facilitators:

  • Engage voluntarily and with full consent

  • Are compensated for their expertise

  • Receive trauma-informed support and preparation

  • Share within clearly defined boundaries

  • Are never required to disclose personal details

Lived experience experts do not facilitate sessions alone and are always supported by licensed or trained professionals to ensure safety, ethical engagement, and accuracy.

Licensed Therapists & Mental Health Professionals

Licensed therapists and mental health professionals support curriculum delivery by providing clinical context, trauma education, and guidance on appropriate responses to disclosures. Their role is essential in ensuring that all content is delivered responsibly and that participants receive accurate information about trauma, healing, and mental health impacts.

These facilitators help bridge lived experience with evidence-informed practice and support audiences in translating learning into safe, effective action.

Social Workers & Child Welfare Professionals

Social workers and child welfare professionals contribute systems-level expertise related to foster care, prevention, mandated reporting, and youth protection. Their involvement helps contextualize trafficking prevention within broader child welfare and community systems and supports audiences in understanding their roles and responsibilities.
